2020 has been designated the Year of the Nurse & Midwife by the World Health Organisation. That means there has never been a better time to take on an awesome fundraising challenge to help support your nursing colleagues in crisis and achieve something amazing for yourself.

Every day, the welfare team at Cavell Nurses’ Trust speak to nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants in personal hardship caused by a range of issues including illness, disability, older age, domestic abuse and even homelessness. We are proud to offer a tailored package of support which includes emotional support, financial grants, and signposting to specialist services.

This support is life-changing to those nursing professionals experiencing crisis, but it’s only possible thanks to our incredible supporters raising vital money to ensure Cavell Nurses’ Trust can be here for nurses in crisis.

So, whether you are thinking of taking up a new sport, or taking your passion to the next level, this is the year to sign up to an event.

2020 could be the year you take on that marathon you’ve always put off, or enter your first triathlon, or face your fear and do a skydive. Whatever your ambitions and abilities, this is the year to take on your challenge!

In the words of Dr. Seuss:

“So…
be your name Bauxham or Bixby or Bray
or Mordecai Ali Van Allen O’Shea,
you’re off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
so… get on your way!

(‘Oh, The Places You’ll Go!’ – Dr. Seuss)
