Clinical Site Manager and nurse Sarah Kiely from North Bristol NHS Trust has won a Cavell Star Award for going above and beyond for her patients.
Colleague and Assistant Director of Operations Sue Mallett explains why Sarah is such a worthy winner,
“Sarah works tirelessly and consistently to maintain safety and improve patient experience. We regularly have reports from colleagues thanking her when she has supported teams in managing difficult and challenging situations. She is an excellent role model not just for our own team but for all the staff that she deals within her role. Her ‘can do’ attitude and positivity when dealing with complex and difficult situations make all around her feel confident and safe and she will explore every option known and quite often ones that aren’t to find resolutions.
“We have received multiple compliments from both staff and patients, outlining how supportive and compassionate she is in her approach to everything that she deals with. Sarah is an absolute pleasure to work with.”
Sarah reacted to winning her Cavell Star Award,
“I am amazed and so grateful to have won a Cavell Star Award and so touched that my colleague has taken the time out of her busy schedule to nominate me.
“I love my role in the CSM team, I am so lucky to work with amazing people who strive so hard to keep our patients safe on a daily basis. My team are my inspiration so a massive thank you to them! It’s a team effort and I wouldn’t be the nurse I am now without their support advice and motivation.
“It is a privilege to have been nominated and a bigger privilege to have won. Thank you.”
