Nursing Services Manager Abigail Hoffman at Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare has won a Cavell Star Award for going above and beyond for her patients’ families.
Jo Upton, Head of Nursing at McKesson explains why Abigail is a worth winner,
“Our paediatric team in London consists of 5 nurses. Due to attrition and sickness in the team, this has left Abigail to support our paediatric patients and their families. Abi has worked tirelessly for the last 2 months to rearrange home treatments for patients, support and inform other nursing colleagues attending the children’s homes whilst also working on the rota at 60 hours each week. She has been absolutely inspirational and has ensured that each child still receives their treatment. She has been doing the work of an entire team, both managing patient visits with parents and clinicians but also providing nurse attending from other areas with support and advice. She really deserves to be recognised as she is a STAR!”
