Tissue Viability Nurse Amy Townsend from Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has won a Cavell Star Award for going above and beyond for her colleagues.
Team mate Annabel Wilson explained why Amy is such a worthy winner,
“Amy constantly works extra hours to ensure staff and patients are supported. She never complains about her workload and comes into work with a positive attitude and a smile every day. Alongside patient care she also takes a key role in project work and this year has developed a vac pathway and paediatric wound care formulary (a first for our Trust).
“She shows kindness to everyone she meets and is always professional. Nurses across the Trust go to Amy for support even when it’s not a tissue viability matter as she is always willing to help anyone. I really feel Amy deserves this award and recognition for all she does for patients and other members of staff.”
