Nurse Ellen Denby from Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has won a Cavell Star Award for going above and beyond for her patients.
Colleague and healthcare support worker Sharon Parker explains why Ellen is such a worthy winner.
“Ellen is always so passionate about her patients recovery. She is so conscientious and positive to her patients and is a great role model to other nurses on how to show empathy and compassion. Ellen is always available to help other nurses with a supportive attitude and enthusiastic charisma. She does everything with a smile and is a pleasure to work along side.”
Ellen reacted to winning her Cavell Star Award.
“I am extremely humbled and grateful to my colleagues for this award. I love my patients and always want to give them as comfortable a stay as possible. I have nursed for 34 years and have always used the philosophy that I treat people how I would want my parents treated and looked after. I’m lucky to have such an incredible team of staff to work with.”
