Healthcare assistant Jenny Bircher from Gloucestershire Royal Hospital has won a Cavell Star Award for going above and beyond for her colleagues.
Admiral nurse and colleague Asma Pandor explains why Jenny deserves to be celebrated and recognised by her team,
“Jenny is a phenomenal healthcare assistant with a very caring nature. She is very experienced and always willing to share her knowledge and experience with others especially new starters. She will go out of her way to make everyone feel welcome on the ward and part of the family.
“During the first lockdown there were a huge number of new healthcare assistants, with many having had rapid inductions. Jenny always made sure these new staff had been orientated on the ward and she would regularly check on them to ensure they were fully supported. Jenny is one in a million and deserves this Cavell Star Award.”
