Celebrating Lucy

Staff nurse Lucy Sharpe from The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn has won Cavell Star Award for going above and beyond for her patients. Colleague and nurse Tincy Jose explains why Lucy is such a worthy winner,

“Lucy joined the Trust in May 1979 as a student nurse and continues to care for acutely ill patients using her expertise of 43 years in the nursing profession. She continues to run around like a youngster to provide compassionate patient centred care. She is such a good inspiration for younger generations of nurses.”

Lucy reacted to winning her Cavell Star Award, presented to her by Caroline Shaw, Chief Executive at Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn NHS Trust

“I was so overwhelmed and honoured to receive my reward what a wonderful surprise for me in recognition of my 43 years working within the NHS. I have in my time worked with the most kind caring professional colleagues and continue to do so. What an amazing team thank you to you all!”
