Research Nurse Suzanne Foxon from University Hospitals of Leicester has won a Cavell Star Award for going above and beyond for her patients. Colleague Molly Patterson explains why Suzanne is such a worth winner,
“Suzanne has been a nurse for over 30 years. She has a passion for clinical research to improve the outcomes and develop the clinical practice and care she has provided for women, children and their families. She has gone above and beyond on many occasions for example staying back until she has been able to deliver a standard of care that meets her high expectations.
“She is a good listener showing compassion and empathy for the women, children and families in her care. Suzanne should receive a Cavell Star Award for her dedication, vocation and service to the Nursing Profession and to the families she has served. I have no doubt that she will continue to be a compassionate and caring professional wherever life’s journey takes her next.”
Suzanne celebrated her party with her colleagues with her Cavell Star Award being the icing on the cake after 35 years of service.
