The Digestive Diseases Unit (DDU) team at Kettering General Hospital has won a Cavell Star Award for going above and beyond for their patients during the Covis-19 pandemic.
Arnold Aguilar, Matron for Surgical Services at Kettering General Hospital explained why the team was so deserving of the award,
“Despite the increased ward activities due to high patient acuity added with the use of PPE’s, handwashing pre and post patient contact and social distancing, the ward still managed to discharge patients in a timely manner. The team go above and beyond their normal and expected duties.”
