Cavell Nurses’ Trust was delighted to join three inspirational supporters, Dionne Daniel, Fiona Holley and Deborah Cooper, at a special Royal Garden Party held at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday 21st May.

The sun shone on the Palace and its gardens as we were joined by The Queen, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and 8,000 others, for a special celebration of those who have made a positive impact in their community.

Nurses Dionne, Fiona and Deborah are wonderful ambassadors for Cavell Nurses’ Trust and have stood up for their colleagues suffering hardship in amazing ways, going above and beyond in raising both funds and awareness.

After the event, Nurse Dionne from Barts Health NHS Trust Tweeted: “It has been a privilege and an honour. I had an amazing time and loved sharing the experience with colleagues who share my passion for the work you do.”

Victoria Lewis, Fundraising Manager at Cavell Nurses’ Trust, who attended the event with the team commented: “I was so honoured to spend the day with Dionne, Fiona and Deborah. The Garden Party offered a perfect opportunity for us to say a huge thank you and let them know how much their support means to us, and to the thousands of nurses in need who seek our help each year.”

Dionne, Fiona and Deborah have all been a part of the popular #10kForNurses fundraising campaign which runs throughout each October, in partnership with @WeNurses, and inspires the nursing world to do 10k their way to support those suffering hardship.

Whether you run 10k, walk 10k, join our 10k Snowdon challenge or even give 10k seconds of your time to do something awesome, there is a 10k for everyone!
