This year’s #10kForNurses is set to be bigger, bolder and braver than ever! Hundreds of nursing professionals will be taking on a personal 10k challenge this October to raise vital money to nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants currently suffering hardship. Nurses can walk, run, hike or cycle 10km, sky-dive from 10,000 ft, host a 10,000 calorie bake sale, or do something else incredible for 10,000 seconds!

Cavell Nurses’ Trust is delighted to welcome Medacs Healthcare as the Campaign Champion for this year’s #10kForNurses.

Medacs Healthcare is a leading healthcare staffing company providing healthcare recruitment expertise to both public and private sectors, and one of the largest suppliers of agency nurses to the NHS. As Campaign Champion, Medacs Healthcare will be instrumental in helping to raise tens of thousands of pounds to help offer life-changing aid to nurses in need.

We chatted to Matthew Makowski, Digital Marketing Assistant, to learn more about why Medacs Healthcare have chosen to be this year’s lead sponsor for #10kForNurses by becoming the Campaign Champion.

As well as being Campaign Champion, Medacs Healthcare are joining nurses from around the UK and getting stuck into the fundraising too!

Cavell Nurses’ Trust is hosting a 10k challenge on Snowdon in October, which will see adventurous fundraisers hiking 10k to the summit of the mountain, or taking on an extra special night hike to take on the mountain in the dark!

#10kForNurses is all about the nursing community achieving their 10k in any way they can. Matthew added “Whether you’re climbing to the summit of Snowdon, racing around your local park, braving a skydive or giving everything you’ve got to hit 10,000 steps each day throughout October, it’s important that you have fun while raising money for a fantastic cause. In taking part, you’re helping to make a real difference to the lives of nursing professionals across the country.”
