The Snowdon Challenge event on 25th June 2022 may be cancelled in the following circumstances:

• Restrictions from The Welsh Government on travel, social gatherings, or other issues related to COVID-19.
• Extreme adverse weather, or any other unforeseen circumstances that put the safety of participants at too much risk.

In the event of a cancellation, you will be notified as soon as is reasonably possible. You will be notified by email using the information you submitted when signing up. 

If Cavell Nurses’ Trust cancels the event:

We will work hard to find a new date for the event as soon as possible. This will be dependent on numerous factors, but we would hope to have a new date soon after cancelling the initial event.

If you accept the deferred entry within 4 weeks of being notified:

• You will be guaranteed a place at the new event on the alternative date and your registration fee will be transferred.
• Your fundraising page will remain with funds raised being transferred to the new date.

If for any reason Cavell Nurses’ Trust is unable to secure an alternative date, or if you cannot attend the new date, you will be offered a full refund of your £15 registration fee (minus any processing fees).

If you choose to cancel your place on the hike, you will be required to ask your donors if they wish for their donations to be refunded.

Participant cancellation:

If you are unable to make the Snowdon Challenge hike on 25th June 2022, you must let staff at Cavell Nurses’ Trust aware on or before the 23rd May 2022. Please email: fundraising@cavellnuesestrust.org or call 01527 595999

You will then be offered:

• A free place on the next Snowdon Challenge hike, which will likely be in June 2023.
• A refund of your £15 registration fee (minus any processing fees). If you choose this option, you will need to notify your donors and ask if they would like their donation refunded.

If you cancel your place after 23rd May 2022 you will not be eligible to get a refund on your £15 registration fee. You will also need to advise your donors and ask if they would like their donations refunded.

In the instance of a cancellation, Cavell Nurses’ Trust will not be able to refund any expenses that you may have incurred such as pre-booked travel or accommodation, so please carefully check the cancellation policies of the services that you have booked or are about to book. Please also consider taking out travel insurance to cover your trip in the event of cancellation.
